About AppRiver Malware Watch
Back in July 2008, we here at AppRiver began to see a very large spike in virus traffic. It was an increase of around 1700% over the past several years, and most of these were zero day attacks. We then decided to create a way to track these brand new variants, as well as a list of what other AV engines were recognizing them at the time our definitions went into place. The AppRiver Malware Watch blog roll was born.
Keep in mind that this is in no way a complete listing of the virus definitions we have in place, simply a database and reference point of the more interesting, and/or stubborn zero day variants that we are seeing in our filters.
